Bundle Up Burton

October 15 - October 29

The weather is getting cold and the leaves are starting to fall. That means it’s time again for Bundle Up Burton! Starting on October 15 (and continuing through October 29), we will be asking the community to bring in 575 coats, hats and mittens to donate to the Burton students.

We continue to do Bundle Up Burton every year because the parents have made it clear that it helps fill a great need. The parents shared that as their children grow they need larger coats, and, some shared that without our help, they would have to make a choice between buying diapers [and other basic items] or coats. [Donations of like new adult coats and snow boots will also be accepted and given to parents in need.]

Donations will be accepted at Burton School as well as Mars Hill Bible Church. The Burton Community School Leadership Team and parent volunteers will then open the “Burton Boutique” during conferences in early November. After meeting with their student’s teacher for conferences, parents will be able to stop into the Boutique and shop for the items that work for their child.
